In the heart of Italy, amidst stunning landscapes and iconic architecture, we embarked on an exhilarating project for Salon Privé, a luxury events brand. This shoot was no ordinary assignment; it was Salon Privé’s first-ever tour in Europe, featuring a breathtaking supercar tour that promised to deliver unparalleled experiences and unforgettable moments. Our mission was to capture the essence of this luxury journey, creating a visual feast that would enthrall viewers and potential clients alike.
The central theme of our shoot was to film a luxury supercar tour, capturing long drives, opulent cars, top-notch hospitality, and picturesque vineyard stops. The tour was designed to offer participants a taste of Italy’s most scenic vistas, from serene lakes to majestic mountain ranges. Every location was meticulously selected to provide the best possible experience and views for the participants, ensuring the journey was as visually stunning as it was enjoyable.
Salon Privé, renowned for hosting exclusive luxury events, ventured into uncharted territory with this European tour. Their goal was to amass a variety of content to produce a captivating highlight reel and a year’s worth of engaging social media material. This project was pivotal for Salon Privé, marking their expansion into experiential luxury tours.
No grand adventure is without its challenges, and our Italian shoot was no exception. Tracking the supercars and keeping up with the fast-paced tour required precise coordination and strategic positioning. We had one opportunity to capture the perfect shot at each location, making every moment critical.
Our days were long, starting early and ending late, with non-stop filming in between. Communication with the tour participants was limited out of respect for their experience, meaning we had to capture everything organically and without staging. This approach added authenticity to the footage but required us to be constantly alert and adaptive.
Among the many highlights, celebrating Lucas’ birthday at one of the luxurious hotels stands out. Additionally, our videographer Josh discovered a newfound appreciation for Italian beer and the local charm. These personal moments, coupled with the spectacular drives and stunning locations, added a unique and memorable layer to our experience.
Our dedicated team consisted of Josh Milsom (Videographer) and Lucas Haynes (Director), with invaluable support from Tom Miller in producing. Their combined expertise and passion were instrumental in bringing this ambitious project to life.
To capture the tour in all its glory, we utilized an array of advanced equipment, including the Sony A7SIII with various lenses, MovieMax Car Rig, DJI Ronin Gimbals, and DJI Drones. This arsenal allowed us to achieve dynamic and high-quality shots, ensuring the final product was nothing short of spectacular.
The goal was straightforward: make the project look undeniably cool. We aimed to showcase the tour, the participants, the hospitality, and the overall vibe in a way that was both luxurious and exhilarating. In the fast-paced world of social media, our content needed to be dynamic and engaging to capture and retain the audience’s attention.
The response from Salon Privé was overwhelmingly positive. The owner personally thanked us, expressing his delight with the content, which required almost no revisions. The attendees of the tour also provided glowing feedback, affirming the success of our efforts.
